Investment Philosophy

Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels are companies that were once the “darlings” of Wall Street but have fallen out of favor with the investment community, causing their stocks to plummet to unrealistically low levels. We may profile a company if its fundamentals are not permanently impaired and if the stock is selling at a significant discount to what we consider its intrinsic or private market value.

We have found that investing in companies that are currently exiled by sell-side analysts can lead to some very profitable results. In our opinion, sell-side analysts often can tell you everything there is to know about a given company, except when to buy its stock.
